Teleios, Inc., a Christian non-profit, has shown in prior studies that practicing Christianity improves biblical knowledge and personal wellbeing. Teleios sponsored a research project at Compassion Global Baptist Church (CGBC) in Pangasinan, Philippines to evaluate the effect of spreading the gospel as part of a church planting objective. From May to December 2021, CGBC surveyed individuals who believed in salvation by faith alone in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They were surveyed again after a 13-week discipleship course about the basics of the Christian faith.
There were 200 participants in the CGBC survey. No participant was excluded. The participant demography was: gender – female (51%), or male (49%); age – <35 years old (39%); employment – full-time employed (54%), homemaker (16%), student (16%), or other (14%); education – secondary school (32%), vocational school (30%), or university student (38%).
The survey found significant improvements (P>0.0001) following participants believing in Christ alone for salvation and attending the 13-week course. In the results presented below, the first percentage represents the response prior to the 13-week instruction course and the second after completing the course.

Dr. William Stewart, co-founder of Teleios, noted, “This survey shows the power of God’s word not only to salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ, but also for confidence in salvation and how to live a wise and contented life. This wonderful ministry in northern Philippines also helps demonstrate the message of Christ is transferable to all cultures in all times, benefiting all peoples for all times.”
In summary, this survey conducted by Teleios found significant improvement in biblical knowledge and personal wellbeing following faith in Jesus Christ for salvation by faith alone and a 13-week instruction course in the scriptures.
