Introduction to Know & Grow and the gospel

About the Know & Grow podcast

Please be advised:

  • This podcast is a limited time course and an overview of the major themes of the Bible
  • It will give you a basis to explore topics more deeply, but it is not the intention of this podcast
  • I’m not a trained theologian
  • I interpret the Bible in a normal fashion and believe the Bible is correct in every issue it addresses
  • This podcast is a biblical theology, purely from scripture and not from a theological or a denominational tradition
  • I will quote some theologians from where I derived ideas and confirmation of ideas
  • I will try to inform you what is orthodoxy, what we do not know, and what themes or controversial
    • With controversial topics, a few of my views will be minority but I take them from my understanding of scripture. In these cases, I will give both sides
    • I do not want to make you a copy of me but I desire to give you a biblical foundation so you can then make up your own mind
  • Each podcast will last 10-15 minutes and is meant to be given efficiently and to the point so your time will be well used
  • As opposed to most theology’s, I will add in a theology of the Christian walk
  • The podcast may include several special guests to further emphasize and highlight theological points
  • Notes will be on the website

The gospel – Be sure you are a Christian based on these four simple Bible truths!

  1. Man sinned.
  2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin.
  3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment.
  4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life.

(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26)
